LiFi (Light Fidelity) is an emerging wireless communication technology that uses light waves to transmit data instead of the radio waves employed by WiFi and other traditional wireless systems. It leverages safe LED light as the medium for data transmission, turning light into a high-speed, secure, and energy-efficient communication channel. By modulating the intensity of light emitted from an LED at extremely high speeds—imperceptible to the human eye—LiFi encodes data in the form of binary signals (1s and 0s). These signals are captured by a photodetector, which converts them back into usable digital information.

Since light cannot penetrate walls, the data transmission is confined to the room illuminated by the LED, making it inherently more secure against external interception.
